About Dr. Budoff
Dr. Jeffrey E. Budoff is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity procedures, with additional certification in hand surgery. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University and earned honors at Cornell Medical School. Dr. Budoff completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine, achieving top national test scores, followed by fellowships in hand surgery and sports medicine to gain comprehensive expertise in upper extremity.
With a focus on minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Budoff is proficient in both open and arthroscopic surgeries of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He is recognized for performing the one-incision endoscopic carpal tunnel release, the least invasive method available, facilitating quicker recovery for patients.
Previously, Dr. Budoff served as an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, dedicating nine years to educating medical students, residents, and fellows. His scholarly contributions include editing seven textbooks, authoring 47 peer-reviewed articles, and writing 23 textbook chapters on upper extremity disorders.
Dr. Budoff’s professional affiliations encompass the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Texas Orthopedic Association, and the Harris County Medical Society. He offers patient care at the Texas Medical Center and maintains satellite offices in Clear Lake, Pearland, and Katy, Texas.
